Sigh

UPDATE: To the searcher who got here using the search term of riots in new york and new york yankees, let me remind you of this: New Yorkers do NOT riot when their sports teams win or lose. Does not happen. There have been riots in New York, of course, but none of them have been sports-related.

That's because New Yorkers invented baseball in the 1840's in the parks of the Bronx.

When a lot people started playing they formed leagues, and had to move to Hoboken, which is why Hoboken claims that baseball was born there. [It wasn't; not the game or leagues.]

Yes, New Yorkers invented and perfected baseball, and have been fans for generations. [165 years, more or less. And who we root for runs in families.] With a history like that why would we ever disgrace ourselves by rioting?
