Taking It In Stride?
I guess with the law that was recently signed in South Dakota, I've been considering issues of feminism more than in the past. I've always considered myself a feminist, but certain things have been thrown into sharper relief now than even a few months ago. So, yes, you're going to see a lot more posts on feminist issues.
I wonder how many male celebrities get asked, at the age of 42, how they're taking their age. Apparently this was something actress Juliette Binoche felt the need to address in a recent interview. When I read the headline, I thought "Huh? Taking her age in stride? She's not old. She can't be much over 40." Yeah, well, there you go.
Hey, Russell Crowe, you're about to be 42. How are you taking your age? The latest news on you is how you and your wife are expecting a new baby.
Brad Pitt? You're already 42. How about you? The only thing I keep hearing about you is Angelina Jolie, Angelina Jolie, Angelina Jolie. Oh, and about having babies.
Tom Cruise? You're almost 44. Feeling over the hill yet? For some reason, the main news on you seems to be your impending baby with and marriage to Katie Holmes.
Sensing a theme?

Somehow I thought Juliette Binoche was older than 42. Actually, I was never quite sure of her age. Never knew that Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise were older than me. Seems like Russel Crowe is older than 42, too. How old is Mel Gibson? He must be ancient at this point since he did The Road Warrior almost 30 years ago.
