Yes. Just because there are scientific principles at work and laws of nature, that doesn't preclude someone from believing that a divine being put those into place. Just because I believe in the Theory of Evolution and that the story of Adam and Eve is a fable, it doesn't mean that I have to abandon God's role in creation.
In fact, I don't understand why people wouldn't be more impressed with a God who could have put the natural world and all its intricacies into motion than with one who just goes "POOF! There it is!"

Absolutely. In fact, as Solonor alludes, the more science gives us... the better we scientifically understand our universe... the more awe inspiring is the God who created it.

I don't buy "Adam & Eve," but someone tell me who lit the match that brought on the Big Bang.

Can you be a good pilot and still believe in the Force, Luke?

Yes. God is metaphysical and exists outside the realm of science. Ergo, you can pursue science while still believing in the existence of that which falls outside the realm of science.

What Lesley said, except that through the ages, as science has progressed, many believers have had to redefine their god and the belief system around it. What? You mean demons don't cause seizures?
I think a scientist who truly bumped up the materialist view of science against their metaphysical beliefs would be left with essentially a deist position.

Just a note, it wasn't science that killed my faith.
it was Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell and their followers.
