Conflict of interest? I can say that. Usually we see such conflicts when prosecutions are being avoided. See Plame. Or convictions are being overturned. See Elliot Abrams, et al, Iran Contra.

At the very least, it makes it appear as though Spitzer's motivation to start these investigations is for his own political gain.
