I Have Been Phished
Just how stupid do these people think I am? I receive an e-mail from American Express (wink wink) with the subject line "Update Contact Information." Right, and next, there's a bridge right here in NYC that they'll want to sell me.

Only once? I get two or three a day, supposedly from EBay, PayPal, different banks I've never heard of and don't have acounts at (I don't have EBay or PayPal accounts either), and various and sundry credit cards. I dump 40 to 50 junk e-mail messages a day - I don't even bother to click and delete anymore, I just scan them to be sure a legitimate e-mail didn't end up in the junk folder by mistake, then delete the whole folder. That's my yahoo account; I have a couple of others with other servers that I only give out to people I trust, and I don't get much junk mail at either of those.
Technology - one step forward, two steps back.

Apparently, there are many officials in certain African countries who believe that I am sooo trustworthy, they want to send millions of dollars into my bank account. Imagine!!!!
I get at least a couple dozen of these emails every week. You'd think after awhile they'd find a new way to try and scam us.
