New Form of Government

From the amount of times I've seen the picture located at this link regarding the Bush/Kerry split of counties posted across the Internet, I've come to the conclusion that some of our citizens believe we have instituted a new form of government. Instead of being a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, we've become a government of the acreage, by the acreage, and for the acreage.

The colors on the map are pretty, though.

That is the eason for the senate, of by and for the acreage. The electoral college blends that with of for and by the people. Yet another of the grand compromised needed to get our republic started. And since we have more dirt than people out here I am all for the electoral college.

Well, I actually understand that. Nonetheless, the President doesn't govern land and neither do Senators.

Had a Dierks Bentley moment, for some reason I responded as if I was talking to the average internet troll. I know you know why it is set up like it is, I was stuck in a lecture the simpleminded mode. PIC is pickling my brain – or maybe it was the tequila.

Which reminds me, does tequilla fit into the latte swilling, brie munching set's guilty pleasures?

Certainly into a subset of the set. Just not the subset of the set I settled into.

I prefer scotch.

There is a whiskey ou might want to try, if you get a chance. It was originally made for the Pendleton Round-up or by the ranch that originated it or hosts it or... well I'm kinda foggy on the origins of the whiskey, but it is good. Pendleton Whiskey. Good stuff.

It is a 10 year old blended Canadian whiskey from Hood River Distillers.
