Tomorrow I'll Be A Real American

Having gotten Step One of turning Lesley into a Real American out of the way, it's time for Step Two aka the Final Step.

I signed the paperwork on a car today. I'm picking it up tomorrow. It looks like this (although the red should be darker, more crimson, on mine).

It's a 2005 Hyundai Elantra.

Yet again proving that I am a more diehard Yankees fan than you. I would never buy a red car, especially not now. For shame. Tell me where you'll be parking the car so I can borrow it and have it re-painted navy blue with pinstripes and an interlocking NY.

Hey, that's right, I neglected to congratulate you on finally becoming a Real Amurican! Say - we've got a sort of royal blue car and you've got a red one. Maybe Jon would consider getting a white one and we could drive down 3 lane highways side by side. :)

No fair -- Dad ripped off my comment. I told it to you and Dad last night. And we decided Jon wouldn't like to even hear a suggestion that he buy a car, much less be told what color it should be. Eh, Jon?

It's beautiful; I love the Cardinals Red color; and I pray you use it in good health and safety.

I know Hyundai has posted impressive quality of service numbers of late but... damn that car's fugly!

LOL.

Ah, but it's inexpensive, which was the key. My first car was run over by a tractor while it was parallel parked. My second car was set on fire in a parking lot. I figure that after whatever will happen to my third car happens, it really won't matter what it looked like.

Congrats on the new car. Hyundais are good cars, I like their Tiburon (sp?). I would consider a Santa Fe as my next vehicle, but I'm more in need of a pick-up than anything else.
