Well, It's Like This
No one in sports ever has the flu. They have flu-like symtpoms. Now, Brett Favre, knocked silly in Sunday's loss to the Giants, doesn't have a concussion but concussion-like symtpoms. Is there a difference? Maybe Favre thought the doctor was holding up 17 fingers when he would have said 170 if he had a concussion.
Leaves me wondering what's next. My pet hamster isn't dead. Sure, he's not breathing and is motionless, but those are merely death-like symptoms.

Perhaps your pet hamster needs John Kerry.
As for Favre, he needs retirement. And I say this as a Packer fan.

I guess Gannon has broken neck like symptoms.
BTW why couldn't you New Yorkers worked out a way to keep Kerry Collins?

I'd say that pet hamster was just resting and pining for the fjords.

Michele & Randy - for the record, I don't have a pet hamster. I do have pet cats but didn't want to apply the analogy to them or anyone living. Though it later occurred to me that it would apply really well to Elvis. People are right. He does live and is merely suffering from those pesky death-like symptoms.
Justin - not my decision to ditch Collins. I would have preferred that the Giants figured out a way to snag Robert Gallery and keep Collins. Failing that, they should have taken Sean Taylor and kept Collins. They didn't need a QB. Of course, what you mean is that Collins was brutal on Sunday and you’d rather he stayed away from L.A.

Jon- yeah, I kinda figured you didn't really have a pet hamster. Just wanted to inject a little Python Parrot humor.
