I concluded a while ago that the Yankees likely won't win the World Series. But I really hope they win the division. I don't need Red Sox fans having something similar to 1978 that they can shove in our face. If that happens, at least the Yankees will have an out, since they'd probably be the Wild Card team.
The seeds of this disaster were sown in the off-season when the Yankees created a heavy hit weak pitch team. This is precisely the kind of team the best Yankee teams would demolish in the post season with their strong pitching. The biggest joke, right now, is that they aren't even hitting. This team wont even survive the first round of the playoffs.
