Midnight Crazies
I often wonder what it is that happens to cats who are one minute chilling cool as a cucumber and the next minute they're in a complete frenzy. My mother gave me a good name for it today: the Midnight Crazies.
It happened to my cat Scooter last night. One second he's fine. The next minute he's racing Pell-Mell into the living room and smack into a bookshelf. Moved the thing a good couple of inches. Thankfully he seems to be ok. And come to think of it, it happened not too long before midnight.

Nardo does that a lot when it's threatening to storm. He just startes to hinch up the fur on his back and run around like a maniac.
Piper runs around like a maniac, but then she does that all the time.

Scooter only moved the bookshelf because he's so massive. If Emma rammed into a bookshelf at top speed, it wouldn't budge.

I am not massive. I am merely big boned. Hmph!

I agree with Scooter when he says he's not massive. Humongous is more like it. But you should post the link to his picture in the suitcase, which Lesley put up a while ago. Then everybody can see how cute he is.

Scooter. Large and in charge. Huck. Not large but also in charge and extremely cute as well.

And we've forgotten to mention the funniest thing about Scooter: he quacks. I have heard this myself and he sounds just like a duck. Fortunately he walks like a cat, so there's no real confusion. Why don't you record him quacking, put it into an .mp3 and post it so we can all laugh.
