Kingdom Hospital

I watched the two-hour premiere of Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital. I did like it and plan on watching future episodes. However, some thoughts sparked by the premiere:

  1. I really need to find a copy of the Danish series it was based upon, Lars von Trier's The Kingdom.

  2. What's up with the psychic anteater? Why an anteater?

  3. I'd rather see Andrew McCarthy than fellow former Brat-Packer Rob Lowe any day.

  4. Great music.

  5. I wonder if the thoughts that Peter Rickman was having after getting hit by the van were similar to the ones Stephen King had when he was hit by the van.

  6. Nozz-a-la Cola. Excellent nod to King freaks aficionados like myself.

I didn't get to see all of the show, but what I saw intrigued me....especially when the raven hopped on the guy's chest - and the anteater (do they really have teeth like that????) dragged him out onto the road so he'd have a better chance of being found.

What I did miss was this: when the accident victim was seen walking around the corridors, did something happen to him there that caused his miraculous recovery? All I saw was when the wife was sitting with him and he spoke to her, so I don't know if I missed something there.

I wish they'd repeat the opener.

the thoughts that Peter Rickman was having after getting hit by the van were similar to the ones Stephen King had. it was said on a speicial about the tv show a couple days b4 it aired...also there was a miracle with peter, he wont be paralized after her recovers, but when he was walking in the corridors, it was a dream which was why the walls where covered in dust. when ever a pacient dreams or is in a coma, there dreams will take place there, those corridors are in a place refered to as "the old kingdom" by the spirits and cristy and able(the kitchen workers).
i have all the episodes on tape and have watched them repettedly. :)

Check out my Paul fan page. I found Paul to be extremely, painfully hot as have some others and recorded the last 3 episodes and took lots of pics and made a few clips and animations.
