Oh joy. The Yankees now have no left-handed starters, as David Wells has signed a contract with the Padres.

Repeat after me: "The Yankees have a better rotation now that they've discarded pitchers who were only able to start 120 of their games".

Let's see how the big three that left the Yankees after last season are doing:
1. Roger Clemens is well on his way to winning yet another Cy Young award. Say what you want about his personality, the man is an amazing athlete and pitcher.
2. Andy Pettitte has been lights out in his last three starts.
3. Shamu Wells is rounding into form.
And who are the fourth and fifth starters for the Yankees? Sigh.
