One Fine Day

Michele points out a news item about Pedro Martinez, Manny Ramirez, Don Zimmer, and Karim Garcia being fined. I'm not clear precisely how Jeff Nelson escaped being fined, unless Garcia was being fined for the slide he took at Todd Walker, and the bullpen incident will be treated separately, perhaps as a criminal case.

Comments

I'd be afraid to fine Nelson. He's been unstable for awhile, there's no telling what he'd do if fined...

The bullpen incident is being handled separately. MLB may defer to the police. Nellie is probably gone as a free agent if the reports of what he did are substantiated.

On another matter, CBS 880 is reporting that Moose is pitching tonight instead of Wells. Don't understand this decision. Torre should have kept the rotation in order and gone with Wells.

I think he wants to save Wells in case Boston pitches Lowe tomorrow; a move I have to agree with.
