Where's the Dead Kennedys When You Need 'Em?

I think it's time for a third version of their classic "California Uber Alles". The sleazy Gray Davis has been replaced by the sleazy Arnold Schwarzenegger in the recall election. I paid up on my $10 bet with Jim that the recall wouldn't go through (one I made weeks ago, prior to the allegations about Schwarzenegger resurfacing).

In other news, the damn Marlins beat the Cubs in game 1 of the NLCS. Come on, Cubbies! Throw back the Marlins.

... don't you mean the even sleazier Arnold Schwarzenegger?

I'm enjoying the conservative crowing...it'll give me something to refer to when Arnie doesn't manage to do a damn thing. Making a movie or trouncing a lousy governor isn't good training for legislative politics...ask Jesse Ventura, who eventually got bored and quit.

Anuld isn't nearly the political novice he is made out to be, nor is he a typical American conservative. (a copy of the shrub low expectations - get em to underestimate you play-book?) Shrub isn't a traditional conservative either - he has a big gummit solution for EVERYTHING. Federal mandates and heavy handed federal tactics for each and every situation has been the shrub game plan. I don't expect much different from arny.

His family is a study in American politics. He has championed causes and initiatives, as well as had a hand in the Special Olympics. Sure that is not runnign a state, but one can hardly do worse than the Wilson/Davis administrations. Though Arny is leaning heavily upon Wilson's people.

If you recall it was Wilson that implemented the energy regulatory shuffle that collapsed while Davis did nothing.

Arnold sat in on a meeting with Enron folks and Ken Lay to discuss how the State's $9billion lawsuit against the energy companies should just "go away."

That doesn't sound like a novice, sounds like a typical politician.

you know what scares me about arnold? he's a republican.

So Republicans in California are ecstatic they elected a Kennedy in-law and in loins who is in favor of gay marriage, affirmative action, abortion, gun control...I forget anything?

I'm so sick and tired of hearing the virtues of fiscal conservatism espoused by people who's moral compass is oriented strictly to protecting their "stuff".

If California were a woman she would be Rupall.
