Nellie's Back

...and you're gonna be in trouble. Hey la di da, Nellie's back.

Yes, the much hated Armando Benitez is gone, and Jeff "Nellie" Nelson is back in the Yankees bullpen. And what could be better? We gain a reliever who has pitched well for us in the past (despite being a bit mouthy). We lose an arrogant guy who has a history of blowing saves against the Yankees and who never really would have fit in with the Yankees anyway. And we lose him to a team we'll probably be facing in the post-season.

Oh yeah. Baseball has been bery, bery good to us.

But-- but Armando! We hardly knew ye!

I admit to totally not being able to keep track of all the Yankees' trades. I'm still in mourning for the departed Robin Ventura...

Yeah, I miss Ventura too. Sure, he's no Tino (really, who is), but he was awfully cute. And a good player.

At least you all got the good end of the deal. Here in Seattle the general reaction is "What the heck...!?!?!"
