I'd feel better about the victories were the Yankees not playing, let's face it, some pretty shitty baseball. I tend not to be one of those people for whom the "W" counts more than anything else. Frankly, I'd like to see a bit less sloppy play in the field. They're supposed to contrast with the Mets, not imitate them. :)
Dump Weaver? No way. The guy is 26 years old, and has great stuff. I think he finally showed some of that. Sure it was against the hapless Mets, but confidence is what this guy needed. With 2 40 year olds in the lineup and ? with Jose Contreras, I think it's in the best interest of the Yankees to give this guy a shot.
And Elayne, I may be biased but you don't win 16 out of 18 playing shitty baseball.

Damn, Jay, now I have to delink you (see post entitled Somebody Delink Her)! However, I will get around it by linking Jane instead.
Although he's not pitching particularly well this year, I'm hoping that the Yankees can pick up Bartolo Colon. I hope they don't let him go to Boston!
