For zero tolerance. A public school suspended a 6-year-old for taking a plastic knife from the school cafeteria. A 6-year-old with a plastic knife is not precisely a grave threat. What ever happened to common sense? The parents, at least, have some.
And, if the school insists on upholding the suspension, his parents reportedly will seek criminal charges against the school for supplying weapons to children.
Good for them.
