Yes ... many people don't differentiate between culture and stereotypes. Different cultures absolutely manifest distinct mores and norms of behavior, aesthetic preferences, etc. That's what defines culture. Stereotyping is projecting onto a single invividual all the characteristics of a culture ... some of which may be subjective, reflect the projector's bias, and may not favorable. People miss this all the time.
