Vote of No Confidence
This story perfectly illustrates why this country needs to get its act together on voting. Whoever heard of applying for a form to apply to vote?

I am constantly amazed at what Americans will put up with when it comes to voting rights. In socialist Canada, we have independent electoral offices that compile voters' lists, and if you don't get on, you can still vote if you show up at the polls with identification that shows you are a legitimate resident. And then we get a paper ballot and vote. The counts are scrutinized by representatives from all political parties and requests for recounts are submitted to the electoral office (and by the way, there are provincial ones and a federal one).
We may end up with the Liberals over and over because of population distribution (damn that Ontario), but at least I know we all get a say....and it's a fair say.

Re: War Measures Act in Canada...Pierre Trudeau et al
I vote that we change this law that acts like force against force and then flips to martial law which is, in fact, no law at all. We live in a police state!
Also, our government now are what we used to call in the 60's: Drug dealers and Pushers; along with the doctor's and drug companies. Slogan: Get your drugs 1/2 price... see the Federal government re: Fair Pharmacare. It is no wonder we have a drug problem. Plus, drugs they could only get away with giving to menopausal women are now given to any age... like candy. This used to be against the law. I repeat: To give anti-depressants or any other synthetic drug to anyone under menopausal age was against the law not to say the moral code! Remember Thalidomide? And don't tell me they are tested. Some of these drugs will take a lifetime to show adverse side-effects.
