Arcangelo Corelli (1653 - 1713). Some consider him to be the master of the Italian Baroque style. Click on the picture to hear part of the second movement of his Concerto Grosso No. 8 in G minor ("Christmas Concerto") played by the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra. I believe it is one of the most beautiful pieces ever written. You can purchase a recording of the Twelve Concerti Grossi, Op 6 as performed by the St. Petersburg Classical Orchestra at barnesandnoble.com.
Georg Phillip Telemann (1681 - 1767). Probably the best known baroque composer of his time. Click on the picture to hear part of the fourth movement of his Concerto in D major for trumpet, strings and continuo, performed by the Academy of St. Martin-In-The-Fields, Hakan Hardenberger on trumpet.
